Organizers of the “AI and Social Research: Empathic AI, Metascience, and Methodology” event, taking place June 3 – 4 at Penn State’s Innovation Hub and on Zoom, are inviting early career researchers to submit a poster.
The poster submissions are an opportunity to build a robust network of researchers across the social sciences, humanities, computer science, and engineering disciplines that can chart a path that is constructive, critical, and forward-looking.
Proposals are welcome across three themes: AI and empathy, AI methods in social research, and AI and metascience. Accepted presenters may attend all sessions and meals, with partial financial support to help cover costs. Please submit poster proposals here before the April 10 deadline. For questions, please reach out to conference organizers Daryl Cameron (Psychology, Rock Ethics Institute, Director of the Consortium on Moral Decision-Making) and Bruce Desmarais (Political Science, Director of the Center for Social Data Analytics).
The event is being co-organized by the Consortium on Moral Decision-Making, Penn State Center for Social Data Analytics. The event is being further sponsored by the Penn State Social Science Research Institute, Penn State Center for Socially Responsible AI, Penn State College of the Liberal Arts, The McCourtney Institute for Democracy at Penn State, and the Penn State Departments of Philosophy and Psychology.
