Storage and Backup

We provide 20GB of storage on our Windows systems to all PRI researchers. We can assist you in encrypting, backing up, and storing your data on our secure servers, and provide project storage on an as-needed basis. We can also help set up your space (unlimited storage), PASS space (10GB), and RCC space. There are many storage options, so feel free to contact us at

Software & Equipment

We have two application servers dedicated to research computing. These servers provide access to expensive licensed programs that you would otherwise have to purchase (e.g., Photoshop, Stata, and ArcGIS). The Computer Core has a number of laptops, projectors, and tablets available for short term sign out.

PRI Computer Lab

The Computer Core supports a 12 machine PC lab located in 806 Oswald Tower. Some of the software available for use in our lab include HLM, Stata, and SAS.


If your office is in Oswald Tower, we can recommend, purchase, and install software and hardware for you using your startup funds or department allotment. We can work with your department staff (if applicable) to purchase equipment compatible with both your college and PRI’s networks. If you are unsure of your exact needs, we can help you determine your needs and find a suitable product to fit those needs.
